I was commissioned to design a culturally respectful and visually impactful map of New South Wales for ECAV, highlighting the metropolitan and regional areas where Aboriginal Community Programs were delivered between 2004 and 2020. The map was guided by the AIATSIS Map of Indigenous Australia, and was co-designed in consultation with Aboriginal community members to ensure cultural accuracy and sensitivity.
This project supported ECAV’s long-standing commitment to Aboriginal communities across NSW—enhancing service accessibility for those affected by sexual assault, family violence, and child abuse. The final deliverable included a two-sided layout: a map on the front and a detailed table on the reverse, listing towns, program types, and the years delivered. The design helped visually communicate ECAV’s extensive outreach and the trust they’ve built over decades of dedicated work.
Following the success of the initial map, I was also engaged to create a variety of program-specific map iterations to meet ECAV’s evolving communication needs.
